Bobby Joe Skoal

"Bobby Joe Skoal" (aka Shrek) is a clone of Harry Vold Rodeo's "500 Bobby Joe Skoal" who was alive 1985-2013. Bobby Joe was by "Custer" and out of a Custer mare named "Dusty Gal". He was the first world champion bucking horse that Harry Vold raised from scratch. Bobby Joe was a standout from the start, making his debut in the rookie bronc riding at Cheyenne Frontier Days and winning the CNFR Bareback Riding in 1988. He went on to be a PRCA Saddle Bronc World Champion in 1991, 1992, and 1993 as well as the 1991 NFR Champion Saddle Bronc. Bobby Joe was known for his soundness and try. One year he was bucked five times at the Cheyenne Frontier Days and was also bucked 37 times in his last year before retirement without missing a step.

Bobby Joe was originally a gelding, but through the power of cloning we are now able to use him as a breeding stallion and continue these superior genetics.

A fun fact about Bobby Joe: The original would stick his tongue out the side of his mouth and bronc riders would give it a tug in the chutes for good luck. He is often photographed doing this, since the clone and his babies have this quirk as well!
